Tier 2 Pension Rally - Nov. 13

Our fight to fix the unfair Tier 2 pension system has come a long way in the last year.

We deluged legislators with calls and emails in the spring. We packed the Fix Tier 2 Town Halls across the state last month. We made clear that legislators must take immediate steps to begin to improve Tier 2 pensions.

Now we’ve come to the next crucial phase of our campaign: the Fix Tier 2 Rally at the State Capitol in Springfield on Wed., Nov. 13.

That’s when the General Assembly’s fall veto session gets underway. Some legislators have already committed to stand with us. But others are wavering because of the high costs of pension improvements. We need to make sure every legislator knows how important our retirement security is.

You can sign up with your local union to attend. Or you can plan on travelling with a group of coworkers.
